About Aqua Ventana
We are Baja's boutique adventure resort & spa, a unique waterfront destination for your next vacation. Amazing location, deluxe accommodations, enjoy tasty food and drinks in our onsite restaurant and beach bar, get a massage treatment, or visit our sports center for pro instruction and rentals in wind sports, foiling, and mountain bike- or just cruise on the bay on our paddle boards or cruise town on bikes! We offer many unique and well-appointed lodging options throughout our beachfront property.
Our Location
La Ventana is a small fishing village on the shore of La Ventana Bay south of La Paz on the eastern side of the Baja California peninsula in the Mexican state of Baja California Sur. La Ventana Bay (Bahia de la Ventana) is well known for consistent north winds that blow from November to April, and is considered one of the great kiteboarding destinations for riders all over.
Our prices cover lodging, daily maid service ( on request) , wifi, and use of sports gear which includes kayaks, SUP (stand up paddle) gear, cruiser bikes, and snorkeling gear. Meals and drinks/beverages are charged to your room and settled at check out. Mountain bike and water sports gear rental and instruction is available on-site. Mexican VAT and hotel tax are additional.
Confirmation of your reservation requires a deposit payment of 50% of your pretax lodging or package price. The balance plus taxes, and any incidental expenses from the restaurants or sports center will be due at check-out from the resort.
Reservation modifications must be made 72 hours prior to check in, and subject to availability. Any modifications made after 72 hours will be charged for the original reservation dates, and any additional reservation changes.
Cancellation Policy:
We offer a full refund of your deposit payment if canceled 60 or more days before your check-in date. Reservation cancellations between 59-30 before check-in will be refunded 50% of your deposit payment. Cancellations fewer than 30 days before check-in will not be refunded any deposit payment.
Each room has its own locking safe.
All of our rooms have private in-suite bathrooms, mini fridge, a locking safe for your valuables, and a large dispenser of purified water. All power outlets are same as US, no need for electrical adapters.
A common question is "do you rent Windsurfing, SUP, Kayaks and Mountain Bikes to walk-ins (people who are not staying at the resort)?"
Yes, but our guests do have priority. That said we have plenty of gear and almost always have been able to take care of our guests and also walk in customers for gear.
Contact our sports manager Miguel for all things sports related; Windsurf, wing foil, kite boarding, and mountain bike instruction and gear rental. It's often quite busy during the high season so we recommend that you arrange your lessons before arriving. Wind sport gear rental is available too, but you will need to demonstrate proficiency or have a an IKO card. Check ahead!
